About a year ago, Jessie Veeder returned to her family ranch near Watford City, North Dakota. Soon, change started to arrive. Oil wells and pipelines began dotting the landscape. And people from all corners of America arrived to work. So the singer/songwriter decided to write about her transformed hometown in a song titled, “Boomtown.”
